Michael Salway is an identity thief who stole my work and my identity and made $38.22 for all of his lazy work.
This is what I wrote when I found out my book 30 Days of Discipline had been uploaded for sale on amazon.com by an impostor (now known as Michael Salway)….
This email came to me this morning:
Bought a Kindle version of your book 30 Days of Discipline. The formatting is bad and some sentences are obscured by the pdf navigation buttons from which the document is sourced. It’s a faff to get a refund from Amazon, would you please just email me a pdf version to my email address?
Looking forward to starting my 30 days tomorrow!
Amazon.com order number: XXXXXXXXXXX
30 Days of Discipline is not and has never been for sale on amazon, but I knew what had happened right away.
So sorry but you’ve been had. I don’t sell 30DOD on amazon. Whoever it is has stolen copyrighted work and they will pay.
And believe me, whoever stole my work will pay.
So friendly friends, if you’d like to purchase 30 Days of Discipline please be sure to do it on the appropriate channels.
Amazon is not an appropriate channel and the 30 Days of Discipline version being sold on Amazon is inferior and will be removed very soon by the Amazon team.
UPDATE: Amazon kindly informed me of the imposter’s name and email address.
The identity thief’s name is Michael Salway.
His email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
So I did a quick search and found out that the identity thief is a big fan of my work, going by the name of Mike not Dolce.
With friends like these who needs enemies.
I also did a quick google search and found that he is a struggling book editor looking for work.
He has thrice emailed me directly offering his editing services.
Good luck getting work now Michael Salway the identity thief.
This is Michael Salway’s work experience, taken directly from his LinkedIn account:
In case it is not clear, Michael Salway pretended to be me, he uploaded my work on amazon.com for sale, and tried to collect profits.
This is identity theft, this is fraud.
Do not hire Michael Salway ( email@example.com ) because he is likely to defraud you or anyone he comes into contact with.
