Alright guys, V Pride is here to show you how to cut your hair in three easy steps.
What you will need:
- Guards. Total of three sizes: #1, #2, and #4 (you can use larger numbered guards if you want to leave your hair longer).
Each guard is dedicated to a specific part of your head.
I like to keep the sides short (minimizes hair maintenance) and the top a little longer (lets the girls know I still like to party).
A good place to cut your hair is over the sink. Make sure you close the sink before you start. That way you can avoid clogging it with your hair.
Remember: it’s just hair, so don’t be scared. If you mess up, you can always just shave it all off. It will grow back and you can try again.
Shave the sides of your head with the #1 guard.
Shave the higher/upper sides of your head with a #2 guard. This will blend it.
Shave the top of your head with a #4 guard. The #4 is perfect for the top because it gets the hair just short enough that you will not need to use hair gel.
The haircut isn’t finished until you do the back of your head.
Shave the back of your head with a #1 guard. Use a #2 guard for the “high back” in the same fashion as you did for the sides.
Lastly, clean up the little hairs on the back of your neck with a razor.
It’s best if you have someone who can help you with the back, otherwise you have to do it blind.
But if you don’t have anyone to help you, just go for it!
Use two mirrors or a phone to find spots you may have missed in the back.
Remember not to get too obsessive on how the haircut looks. Your hair will grow back fast anyway!
And that’s how you do the 1, 2, 4 haircut…styling and profiling with Victor Pride.
Have a nice day.
